Filming in France with a Local Executive Producer

Bengale We support international brands, agencies, and production companies that come to film in France. Permits, location scouting, technical crews, equipment, and logistics. You stay in control of the creative process; we handle the practical details.

What We Cover

  • Permits and Procedures

Filming requests submitted to city halls, prefectures, and private property owners; insurance and compliance with social regulations for film crews.

  • Location Scouting and Set Design

Search for and negotiation of locations, from central Paris to the countryside in the south, including photo portfolios and documented technical requirements.

  • Teams and Cast

Forming local technical teams, hiring set supervisors and production coordinators, and establishing relationships with casting and modeling agencies.

  • Equipment and Post-Production

Camera, equipment, and lighting rentals, followed by editing, color grading, motion design, and sound mixing in our studios if you'd like.

Two countries, one organization

Bengale has offices in Paris, Marseille, and Porto. This gives you access to urban, coastal, rural, and mountainous locations throughout France and Portugal, all with a single point of contact, a single contract, and a single production team.

This is a real advantage when a project requires several different types of sets on a tight schedule, or when location scouting in France proves too costly and a Portuguese alternative becomes a viable option.

Our International Clients

We have produced content for Rolex, Lancôme, HBO, Warner Bros. Discovery, Eurosport, GQ, Etam, the Michelin Guide, G.H. Mumm, and Philipp Plein, as well as for international events in the Middle East.

Frequently Asked Questions

What exactly does an executive producer do?

He coordinates all the technical and artistic aspects of the shoot on location on behalf of a foreign company: permits, location scouting, crew recruitment, equipment rental, logistics, and set management. The foreign client retains creative control over the project.

Does a commercial filmed in France qualify for an international tax credit?

No. The French international tax credit is intended for foreign-produced fiction and animated films, and works intended for advertising purposes are expressly excluded. The program may still be relevant if you are coming to shoot a fiction, animated, or documentary project; in that case, we can discuss it with you.

What languages do you work in?

Our production teams work in French and English, and we also operate in Portuguese and Spanish.

What is the implementation timeline?

It depends on the scope of the project and the required permits. Send us your brief and your dates, and we'll get back to you within 24 hours with an initial feasibility assessment.
